Workplace reviews

A workplace review involves interviewing employees on their experience in the workplace, in particular on aspects of workplace culture which research suggests are most likely to contribute to workplace engagement, wellbeing and high performance, and also aspects that are most likely to contribute to workplace stress and dysfunction. The workplace review report summarises and provides an analysis of employee perceptions as well as suggested actions to enhance workplace functioning in light of the information collected.

A workplace review provides valuable data and insights to inform the business’s future planning and directions for its human resource management.

Mediation

Mediation is the facilitation of a safe, structured discussion between employees, supporting them to defuse difficult situations and work towards mutually acceptable resolutions.

Mediation is a highly skilled process which allows an opportunity for both parties to be heard in an atmosphere of respect, mutual interests and goals to be identified, and for mutually agreeable solutions to emerge.

Prior to the mediation, each party has an individual session with the mediator in which they are coached through understanding their conflict and goals in preparation. Providing the opportunity to resolve concerns in this way offers early resolution to issues that otherwise may fester and be costly to the individual and the workplace.

Executive Coaching

Many otherwise high-performing employees can be hindered in their performance by issues of a psychological nature including anxiety, imposter syndrome, poor management of stress, or difficulty in relating effectively to others. A short-term investment of coaching sessions can be an impactful investment in a valued employee in order to realise the employee’s full potential.

On-site solution-focussed counselling

Having an on-site psychologist can provide valuable real-time support to employees. This provides additional benefits over the traditional EAP service – it is face to face, the employee does not have to travel, and the service can be tailored to the needs and budget of the particular workplace. The service is also particularly useful in high pressure work environments where timely debriefing and support can support productivity.

On site support is also useful to managers – providing a skilled sounding board for people management.
